Personal Growth in Times of Reality Wars, Mind Control, AI & Augmented Reality

In times of collective uncertainty and rapid change, government control, and media misinformation, it is vital for us to become more aware of how we are being mind-controlled into thinking we have no power. Learn how personal growth and self-mastery practices can elevate your ability to discern truth in the midst of public 'Perception & Reality Wars'.

Our current collective development is creating tremendous stress in us, which has already led to an explosive mental health and drug abuse crisis. In fact, drug overdose deaths amid the opioid epidemic have become the third leading cause of death in the US in 2022. Alarming data reveals that the fentanyl-overdose death rate nearly quadrupled from 2016 to 2021. Moreover, since the vaccine discussion started in 2020, the impact of social and political correctness has not only affected our social behaviors at work, with friends and families, but has also caused deep inner confusion regarding the meaning of it all. Many of us, not knowing what is true or what is acceptable to express openly, have unconsciously resorted to self-censorship and disinterest. Consequently, we are gradually giving up our drive to improve ourselves, shape our fortunes, and think freely. Perhaps you thought it was just you, but feeling this undefinable barrier to freely expressing yourself, collaborate, and share with others is a societal phenomenon that needs to be taken seriously. Without going into doomsday scenarios, let's investigate what our options are...

With a confused sense of what is true and right for us, as well as what holds value and meaning in our lives, we are gradually losing our ability to think freely and creatively—a defining characteristic that sets us apart from animals. Instead of finding the courage to step out of our perceived comfort zone, we find ourselves being swayed by senseless and meaningless external stimuli, unaware that the perceived light we are following is nothing more than a bug-zapper.

This manipulation of our attention and awareness occurs mainly through a silent redefinition of words and linguistics happening within our societies, altering the way we talk, express, and think - and ultimately how we perceive reality. The subtle and barely noticeable change in our subconscious creates an even deeper divide within and between us, meanwhile hijacking and replacing important meanings of words with politically motivated statements that mess with our perception. To cope with this crisis of meaninglessness, many of us have been conditioned to stop speaking our minds, to the point where we may not even know what to think anymore.

This hijacking of our ability to think for ourselves is making us believe that life is meaningless and we are powerless and thus driving us to seek a different reality. Consequently, industries such as gaming, augmented reality, internet porn, and artificial intelligence are flourishing. It is no coincidence that we fail to notice the effectiveness of subtle mind control, as it attacks our authentic sense of self and freedom to self-actualize, gradually manipulating our choices into meaninglessness. As a result, with outer and inner values rapidly changing, it becomes increasingly challenging to maintain our inner sense of reality and the values that truly matter to us. Our minds create scenarios that rationalize and diminish our true selves, externalizing our sense of identity and pulling us into a reality where we define ourselves solely through external factors such as opinions, beliefs, social acceptance, partners/friends, money, or social status.

This externalization of our happiness and the resulting feeling of powerlessness to effect change is the hallmark of our ego coping mechanism. Therefore, if we want to experience more meaning and adequacy in life, we need to consciously defend our inner freedom through breaking free from the invisible mind-prison and seek conscious self-mastery!

There are several new challenges that come with our post-pandemic societal transformation, and the one that will most significantly impact our personal development and ability to make wise choices in the coming years is the collective War of Perception. As our physical and 3D needs for security and survival become overpowering, we run the risk of becoming oblivious to our true values, integrity, and authenticity without even realizing it. We are willingly giving up our greatest power—the power to change.

In times of collective uncertainty and power-grabbing control structures that target our inner freedom, it is crucial for us to become more aware of how we are being mind-controlled into meaninglessness and powerlessness. One way to regain our authentic sense of self is through conscious self-growth and self-mastery. Feeling in charge of our own lives is one of the most powerful strategies to build courage and confidence in mastering any life situation. However, without a clear sense of our authentic goals, needs, and desires, our actions become erratic, and our will weak. If we are unable to change external conditions, inner change becomes the most effective way to cope with the challenges we face.

Self-growth is a lifelong process of learning about ourselves and reinventing our reality. It involves invoking and strengthening our consciousness, which facilitates a sense of oneness and flow from within. Consciousness is the dedication to our authentic self-awareness and the courage to question our perception of reality, leading to the practice and art of recontextualizing our experiences based on our awareness of who we are. By being conscious and knowing ourselves as individuated Soul Selves, we can develop a deeper and internalized understanding of what oneness, inclusivity, equity, and sustainability truly mean. It's not rocket science—the meaning of words is determined by the meaning we give them. When words and their meanings are manipulated, we call it mind control. Just as one example: if empathy, kindness, and consideration for others and their needs gradually degrade into a demand for sameness and the condemnation of differences and uniqueness, we know that our perception is being manipulated.

The three pillars of protecting ourselves from mind-control are:

  1. Being true to ourselves (and claiming the right to change our minds)

  2. Having the courage to speak up freely and express our needs and wants

  3. Being true to our values (and having the courage to let go of what compromises them)

However, to help with the inner and outer resistance that arises when we strive to be more authentic, self-honest and self-reflective, here a few self-growth questions that can assist you in navigating your confusion:

  1. Who am I now?

    • Which version of myself am I focused on? My old self, vulnerable and insecure self, false self, ego self, idealized self, future self?

    • Which version of myself do I identify with?

    • Which version dominates my day-to-day actions, goals, and behaviors?

    • Which version of myself would I rather energize?

  1. What do I need now?

    • Do I believe I have to be a certain way to earn, deserve, or be worthy of what I want in life?

    • Am I being rigid or controlling?

    • Am I flighty or non-committal, or do I change my views too easily?

    • Do I have to have everything my way?

    • How does my sincerity express itself?

  1. What are my values now?

    • How did my values form, and how have they changed? Are they truly mine?

    • How am I expressing my values and what I stand for?

    • Do my values sabotage my efforts?

    • Are there ways to stay true to my values without compromising my integrity?

Once we realize that our ego cannot lead us to growth, we need to cultivate the courage to shift out of our comfort zone.

COMFORT ZONE = EGO ZONE

The trick to overcoming mind control and regaining our sense of self lies in understanding the nature of change and growth itself. Growth occurs through open-mindedness and learning from the past. Learning can only happen by shifting our perspectives and trying new approaches. What holds us back is the fear of negative or painful experiences from the past. If we can overcome this hurdle and view life in a more playful manner—as a continuous experiment of learning what works and what doesn't—we can begin to better understand self-growth.

Authenticity is not about tying ourselves down to one version of ourselves but being willing to become the highest expression of our true selves. It is not an accomplishment or something to strive for but rather the natural consequence of a lifelong process of growth and self-discovery.

Embrace change, heal unresolved aspects, and step into your authentic power. Cultivate meaningful connections, advocate for social justice, and unleash your creativity. Take care of yourself and honor the transformative energies that guide you toward personal and collective growth.

Stay conscious!
