Confusing Unmet Needs With Inadequacy - Part 3

If our lives are run by the constant need for approval, self-doubt and not feeling good enough we are confusing our own needs with those of others. Through our empathic ability to anticipate, give and provide for needs/pleasure for others we unconsciously make our sense of self depend on our ability to give. However, our needs and wants are what define our sense for self. It provides us with the feedback of our state of being. When we don't know what we need or we can't express them properly we cannot feel ourselves! The codependent fixates on meeting other people's needs so that we can feel fulfillment and self-awareness in a different way.

Traumatic events are alarming, unexpected, and intense creating an energetic split from what we felt as normal or even safe.  They expose us or let us experience something that is deeply distressing or disturbing leaving us feeling overwhelmed, helpless, alone, and even hurt or damaged.

Recent data suggests that approximately 70% of all adults have been exposed to at least one traumatic experience in their lives and of those exposed about 20% will likely develop Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in their lifetimes (Sidran Institute, 2016).

Exposure to even one traumatic event can create a change in our body chemistry, brain functionality, and how we interact with the world.

It wires us for survival (fight or flight response) and creates in us an oversensitivity to our surroundings, to life itself and can lead to all kinds of attempts to regulate our system from this stress-based level.

We all have drama…

It may come in numerous forms and be more or less dramatic depending on our own style, but we all have at least a little bit of a dramatic flair in our lives.

If you don’t think so, ask yourself if at some point or another in the next 4-5 weeks if you are truly just responding or are you reacting.

When do you pull back or lash out?  Or, are you denying parts of yourself, resist change out of fear, fight against the inevitable, and/or blame others or yourself for how life isn’t fair, isn’t perfect or going the way you expected it?

This is drama. It's when our inner self get's chaotic, fragmented, insecure or overwhelmed.

Through conscious self-healing we can learn that the way we perceive our current state is influenced by physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and energetic perceptions. If we are caught in specific emotions or thought processes we cannot let go of it typically means that we are locked into an internal conflict we cannot break through on our own. The main reason for this phenomenon is that we are blindspotted by our own subconscious loops. They can lead to prolonged lingering in low states that negatively impact our health, relationships and career.

Whether we are aware of all aspects that contribute to our state or not, with energy work we can locate underlying energetic blocks, attachments, patterns or loops that can be addressed once identified. From the energetic point of view, an inner conflict is characterized by a certain resonance that we cannot outvibrate for specific reasons. Investigating these reasons and bringing them into our awareness can allow us to formulate conscious goals and strategies to finding better or higher vibratory solutions.

Energetic Self-Mastery is the application of new and effective holistic healing strategies targeted at overcoming specific energetic states, often hidden in subconscious blocks and unconsciously recurring behavior patterns.

Applying our energetic sensitivity and higher perception is the key to efficient self-mastery. As our inner guidance can help us to 'transcode' the messages coming from our subconscious we are learning to trust in transpiring through our empathetic and feeling-based senses. For these energetic senses to develop higher levels of accuracy they need to be consciously trained and calibrated to be utilized.

There is an intuitive knowing that can lead us to health, wealth and happiness – a guidance system that allows us to heal ourselves no matter what the perceived problem is - but most of us don't trust in it. It feels vulnerable and we cannot find words to express what we don’t know we know. We believe that our mind knows better. Without being aware of this, we were programmed to believe that every aliment, pain or dis-ease can be cured with medication, therapy or treatment (even the ones we didn’t even know existed); that the ‘fix’ for every condition can be found somewhere outside of us. It objectifies our own condition and disconnects us from ourselves.

So, whenever there is something wrong with us we not only seek the cause but also the healing outside of ourselves, disregarding our Heart’s Guidance. There is a growing body of scientific evidence shows that our healing process goes much faster, smoother and more permanent if a person’s own spiritual self healing is involved.

To understand the connection between our Personal Energy System and our stress levels we need to know how to improve our Personal Energy Management. Our energy system, and with it the state of our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing is composed of millions of holographic energy codes interacting with another and outer energies. It is self-intelligent and programmed to self-heal and expand. It constantly repairs and replaces body cells; processes thoughts and insights, integrates emotions and stores experiences for later application. An optimally working energy system provides inner balance, peace and an optimal flow and amount of energy to maintain, express and expand our vitality. Inefficient Energy Management can lead to chronic stress, addictions and even mental or physical health issues.

In recent years, we have observed an alarming connection between addiction and energetic sensitivity, highly sensitive persons and empaths. The amount of addictive or co-addictive patterns amongst us is extremely high, and often also very challenging to recover, as the underlying need to connect and heal is so strong, that it often expresses in the less obvious form of co-dependency. Co-dependency may not exactly show as obvious addiction, because it hides more in what we don’t do, such enabling, and the inability to feel and maintain healthy boundaries.

For centuries we have been conditioned to believe that addictive behaviors are weak, unacceptable and sinful. We regard our coping behaviors as 'temptation of the flesh', which condemned addiction as irreconcilable shadow part of our human existence. Most of us judge addiction in others, but what about our hidden addictions, that makes us look ‘good’ in other people’s eyes? What about our obsessive self-berating, perfectionism, mental looping, victimhood, spiritual specialness, power-tripping or emotional manipulation? Have you ever considered these behaviors as addictive?

With the current discount on clearing work, I received an email regarding what to expect with an energetic clearing, and it is a good question as energy work can be confusing or feel like ‘woo-woo’ stuff that can be shaken off as just ‘weird' stuff.

In reality though, energy work or clearings are becoming more and more a viable option many are considering as it can shed light on multiple layers of our being that can bring about a great deal of information as well as allow us to feel a bit lighter.

Throughout the last 9-10 years, the methods and depth of the clearing work in my own practice, has changed tremendously. At first, the method utilized when working with someone was more directed and geared towards getting it all out or clear for a person.

Very effective, no doubt, but it doesn’t really allow a person to have as much of a chance to really evolve, enhance understanding or feel out what is in the way as it is too much about ‘fixing’ or just making the person feel better. This approach is fairly normal in energy work, but due to the fixation on fixing, it is limited in its scope and effectiveness as the amount of information coming forward is typically less. And, adding in here, it can also be a bit dangerous to person doing the clearings as it all about them doing the work.
