The Winter Solstice time marks the beginning of a new phase in our inner journey. Symbolized by the shortest days of the year in which the sun is reborn to bring new light to the collective we celebrate the renewal of sunlight throughout all cultures and religions. Energetically seen, it honors the Feminine Spirit and its vehicles (our planet, ourselves and all living things) giving birth to the Sun-Child – New Creation, regardless of our believes. (Here a very interesting and comprehensive article about the origins of our Solar Calendar, New Years & Winter Holidays by Milt Timmons).
For us as individuals the Winter Holidays find their profound spiritual meaning not through the superimposed consumerism at the end of the year, but through inner reflection and correction of the old and inviting the new to manifest itself – through receiving the gift of the Rebirth of our inner light.

Bringing light into the unconscious ties to and from others is a significant process on our self-journey and is recommended for everyone who wants to move past their current limitations. Becoming aware and self-responsibly working on healing our inner attachments means to wake up and accept the purpose of our past (and sometimes even past lives) as integral part in the experience of our present and future.
The energetic perspective sees any emotional, physical, mental or spiritual pain as caused by an energy blockage based on holding on to something – a view, belief, motive or person. In Energy Work we call those aspects we hold on to or that are holding us back Energetic Attachments. In order to pinpoint the true nature of our inner attachments we need to be willing to look at all patterns in our life. Energetic attachments can make us sick and are often the underlying cause for chronic conditions or constant repeat of unfortunate experiences.

One of the most common and strongest energetic ties leading to inner fragmentation and energetic blockage we have to face on our journey is the energy bind to our upbringing and how it influenced our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual development as well as our manifestation ability. They determine large parts of our predisposition and often play a key role in Shadow-Work. Without resolving or at least acknowledging our Inner Child and Karmic Family aspects it can be very difficult to overcome our core programs and patterns in life.
By reconnecting to our inner child aspect(s) we can begin to have a dialogue with the hidden parts of ourselves to learn what it is we need to grow, heal and change in our lives. The Inner Child is not something to fear or be ignored. It is an integral part of us coming forward to teach us what we need to become more congruent, be more whole, and to have a deeper connection to our lives, our own divine nature, and ourselves.
